Halo from my beautiful island of Efate (March 24, 2019)

Good morning from my island of Efate. I’m writing smol and early this morning. There are so many different emotions that are running through my soul. My fingers strum the strings as clouds dark over with grey. I am so grateful for the time i have had on my little island of Efate. There are so many tender mercies i have felt and experienced. I have come to learn that for me experiencing a miracle is recognizing the divine in what could be considered ordinary. It is recognizing God’s hand in the moments that are lived. I am so grateful for the last two weeks I have had to be here in Ohlen. These souls are so precious. My heart doesn’t want to leave them. I am so grateful for the memories and the moments that I have experienced with them. This Saturday (two days ago) Nikson (16 years) who sista Talamai and sista Taufa have been storying with (tufala sista training leaders). And Charles Pakoa! (Papa Pakoa’s grandson who is 9 years old. We have got to teach him these last two weeks!) It was such a blessing. Yesterday afta jos we spent the majority of the day preparing for everything for the musical missionsry fireside. It went well. It was interesting to observe how what was being said and felt more focused on the temple and preparing to go there. (I get to see the temple!!!!!!!!!!) Thank you for your love and prayers. Thank you for all of

Halo beautiful famle blong mi we mi luvem tumas (March 3, 2019)

Halo beautiful famle blong mi we mi luvem tumas!! Oh how grateful I am for you. You are a blessing in my life. Thank you for all of your love and prayers. This week has been a great one. One for the books of the roller coaster of serving as a missionary. I love the people! I love the clouds and the kokonus trees. I walk outside and it is as if someone took a paint brush on a fresh canvas of blue and let the brush dance around with a pallet of white. Mama: Halo! I love you so very much! You are so very special to me. Efate is as beautiful as ever. I love Etas so much, soft mud and all. The people we are teaching are doing wonderful! Alice, Richard, Willy, and Lynnrose (their two pikinini) all came to Jos! It was a pure miracle. I’m so very grateful for their courage. Please keep them all in your prayers! (Alice is a member we are helping come back to jos, Richard has never storied with missionaries before, Willy we are storying with He’s 8 years old, and Lynnrose is a cutie pikinini!)\ Mama Jonita and Papa Pierre told us they are going to sign to get married! HUGE MIRACLE. Please pray for them that they will follow through with their plans. Mama Jonita has been coming to jos for 15 years but hasn’t been able to get baptized because she and papa aren’t married yet. The

We read 1 Nephi 1 with him this week. It took a while to explain everything but slowly and surely. He will love it. Skyping with you was the greatest! It made my heart so happy. You make my heart so happy. No update on the fly-home yet… I’m almost positive about the 27th though after looking at flights in the past of other leavers going home to America. (It usually takes a long time for people flying home to America to get their travel plans) President Duquette sent this in our email about the four elders… Thank you for keeping them in your prayers! Elder Temaiana: Has been released from the hospital and will return home on March 2nd where he will work with a speech therapist to overcome his mild amnesia for a period of approximately two months. Elder Champoux: Will likely be released form the hospital on March 3rd and will return
