God has a sense of Humor. MERRY CHRISTMAS

My dear wonderful family. I love you more than words can describe. I am so grateful for you every single day. Mifala harem prayer blong yufala. Mi lovem yu tumas.

Momma: I love you so much. I’ve been praying for you everyday. I can’t believe it’s only been a week too. Momma, thank you for letting me know about Grandpa. Momma, I’m so happy you got to give him one last hug and tell him how much you love him. He loves you momma. After Sista Granger called me we had been at the house for an hour to get settled in. I sang myself “I love you a Bushel and a Peck…” My heart filled with peace. Nothing will prepare you for the physical absence of someone you love dearly but somehow through the pain your heart will find comfort in the Plan of Salvation. Heavenly Father loves us so much. I’m so happy that Grandpa no longer has to suffers. He is happy. He is with Grandma Barbara. I treasure the moments we had together. I know it was his time to leave this earthly life and continue on his next mission. I love you momma. I love you so much.
I’m now Sister Training Leader! Wow. Talk about being humbled quickly. My new companion is Sista Motuliki. She is from Tonga and has so much love for these Sisters and the people of Vanuatu. Please pray that I can learn the roads quickly. I am driving in the streets of Port Vila! Please pray that I will be a good and defensive driver and that I can back out of our gate at our house. Please pray that I can help these sisters withe every piece of my heart and can loose myself in this work. Please pray I can learn Bislama quickly and will be a good leader.
Momma Lilone and Isaiah got married! Lilone got baptized on Saturday! It was amazing. I’m so proud of her. I know God works miracles in small and simple ways.
I”m so grateful for the opportunity to be here for Christmas.  I’m so grateful for the presence of Angels and for Big Papa God’s Plan of Salvation. I love your outlook on life daddy. Christmas is different here, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will work hard with every ounce of strength I have to teach the message about our wonderful Savior, Jisas Kraes. Thank you for working so hard. I’m so proud of you! Enjoy this beautiful Christmas season. I know you will.
Thank you for your prayers. They are felt here. I feel them. I can see them. I feel your strength.
This week has been quite exciting. I was called to be a Sister Training Leader. I’ve found that a common theme in my life is “Jump in and Swim” (except for you don’t swim on the mission). I think about learning the guitar. I sat down one night and learned how to play one chord. In the mission I unpacked my things in a new house, jumped in the car, and started driving on the streets of Port Vila (talk about Ecuadorian drivers…). I’ve also learned that Papa God knows us. He knows what we need. He also knows exactly how we will accomplish what he needs us to learn. Papa God has a plan we just have to trust and sometimes that trust is a small step, or a breath, but pretty soon we will find that we have walked miles and that Papa God has been there by our side the entire time.
Little things that I have soaked up this week. I got to help Lilone make lap lap. I squeezed the coconut onto the bananas leaf and watched Lilone tie the leaves in natural twine. Moments like this feel my soul with energy. I love when the Momma’s kiss my cheek. They remind me of Demarious.
The mission is a story. Each transfer is a new chapter, and each day is a new page and God is the author. Just a thought for the day.
Also God answered my prayer, He has allowed me an opportunity to lose myself in the service of others, he is pushing me to grow every day, and I have an oven I can bake Sugar cookies in now! Yay!! God has a sense of Humor. He loves all of his children. I pray I can understand his love for the people of Vanuatu. Will you please pray to help me grow my love for these beautiful people and that they will feel this love? I know there’s purpose in everything. I”m so grateful for this gospel. I’m grateful for the Plan of Salvation.
Thank you for your love. Thank you for your support
I love my Savior. I love this Gospel.
Have an amazing week!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!
Love,
Sista Carter
