Halo from my beautiful island of Efate! (January 27, 2019)

Halo dear famle blong mi we mi luvem tumas!! Oh how much I adore you. I am so grateful for you. Thank you for all of your prayers and love. You give me so much strength and courage. Thank you for blessing my life by just being you. I love you!

Mama: It sounds so cold!! I’ll keep the sunshine. You are welcome to come join me and the lizards and the cockroaches… (did you know cockroaches can fly? I didn’t. Until one decided to attack my pillow.) I will pray you get to feel the sunshine from here.
We got a chance to talk to Papa Pierre about coming back to church. He got his feelings hurt very deeply about fifteen years ago. Please help pray that he will have a forgiving heart and that he will be able to see the importance of getting married.
We have been storying with mama Finneth. She loves to learn about the gospel and to read about the Buk Blong Momon. We are going to walk with her to church. Her family (like most of the families in Vanuatu.) grind and sell Kava to make a living. (Kava is a root drink mixed with Alcohol). She works so hard for her family. Please keep her in her prayers that the spirit will testify to her the truthfulness of the gospel. Many of the people we have been storying with like to story one time.We just contacted a new family yesterday and one of the girls storied with the missionaries when she was living in Tanna. Her name is Anna. She seems interested! Please keep her in her prayers.

There are pikinini in Etas. They are cuties. I will always treasure the “Ol Sista!” I would hear in Ohlen. I miss it. I love them so much!
Our ward has people who joined the jos when it first came to Vanuatu. There are a lot of mamas and papas yours and daddy’s ages. Their pikinini are grown or are schooling on another island. There are some beautiful souls in this ward. I love them! There is also a fiesty Abu .A lot of them have family in Ohlen which makes them ever more special.
Before we helped teach the gospel principles classes but now we don’t teach the class but we get to participate.

My companion is wondeful. We were raised in different cultures but we are finding things that help us work together. She has such a kind heart. Sista Papel finishes the first week in May (she is the STL in Santo right now). I love you so much!!
