Halo from my island of Efate!!! (June 3, 2018)

Halo famle blong mi we mi luvem BIGwan! Mi luvem yu tumas! Olsem wanem? You all are in my prayers and I am so grateful for all of your love and support. This week has been a wonderful week. So much has happened! The top this week was MLC (Mission leadership conference) All of the leaders came together and had their mission leadership council. So many wonderful trainings and m&ms!! We talked about how an increased 1% at striving to improve will in time help you grow your entire life. (wow that was a rough sentence.) Let’s try again. When we improve at a steady increase of 1% we will find emense growth in our lifetime. There we go.

The pictures all tell of the highlights… MLC. We had Seour Thornley and Rodriguez from New Caledonia, and Sista James Nila (my Trainer!) and Sista Meyer from Canada all staying with us. There are so many incredible sisters in this mission. I’ve been really striving how to learn how to love with Christlike love. Something I’ve noticed is the people in Vanuatu are so caring and humble. You can see examples everywhere you look. On Saturday we went to go visit a new investigator but there was a death (a week mourn with laplap). So we came across all the mamas making lap lap for the 5th day. They taught Sista Papel and I with loving care. They didn’t just tell us how to make lap lap. They let us feel the manyoke between our fingertips pressed agains the banana leaf. In the gospel Papa God gives us opportunities to enjoy the lap lap but then He gives us opportunities to learn how to make Lap lap, to experience the joy of sharing the lap lap gospel. Little by little he helps us learn and grow. He doesn’t hand things to us on a silver platter. He allows us the opportunity to work and when we work and learn for ourselves. We gain the sweetest reward.

I love you all so very much! Have a wonderful week!
