Gooooooooooooood Mooooooooooooooorning!!
Winter is running it’s gentle breeze through the palm trees and banana leaves.
I love you all so very much.
This week has been a wonderful week. I am so grateful to be here in the beautiful Vanuatu Port Vila mission and to learn from Sista Papel everyday.
Momma: I am wonderful! My Vanuatu is beautiful. I love my little island 🙂 I got my package on tuesday! Thank you SO much. It was so cute and so tasty and Sista Papel and I have been listening to the choir music. Thank you thank you! Papa Joseph is doing great! We followed up on his reading and he said that he had been reading the Liahona (that we dropped off last week). and that he loved it! The next step for him is to come to Jos. He can do it. He wants to come. His church is at the same time as the wards on the island. Except for one a twenty minute bus ride away. He can do it. We believe in him! We weren’t able to story with Mama Esline but we will story with her next week. However, when we went to story with her yesterday. Her oldest daughter, Julianna was home and said she wanted a Book of Mormon and wanted to story this week! We went to story with her this morning but she was going to see a friend so we will go see her on Sunday with her mom. (So we will be storying with Mama Esline, Ramsvel (her son 15?) Julianna, maybe Joanna (interested small) and Frazier (who is working on his mission papers right now.) Please keep them all in your prayers.
Callisto is doing great. He wants to find a job that he won’t be working sundays. He wanted to give us money so he could start paying tithing. We kindly explained we couldn’t except the money but that when he becomes a member then he can pay his tithing. He really loves storying and loves learning about the commandments. We storied with Brian and Nomita and their four little pikinini again. We read the Buk Blong Momon with them (since they haven’t read it or opened it yet.) As we began to read Brian’s eyes widened as he realized that the Buk might actually be true and might actually support the bible (versus what he has heard in the past. ) Because it is true and it does support the bible!
We also started storying with Rae (the smartest little kid I have ever met.) and his family. We read the Buk of Mormon with their family and. (since he has read a few versus before and we have storied a little about the restoration we asked him to share his insight on the tree of life.) and goodness of the gospel. His thoughts were so precious and explanation was perfect. I think it touched his mama’s heart. Please keep them in your prayers.
To be more productive: Read your scriptures (I know you are doing that) and then write!!! Write write write!
I love you more than words can express momma. Have a wonderful week!
Daddy:
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorning!!!! (I think I found some of these particles while dusting this morning)
The comets of life. I’m so very grateful for Elda Funk and Elda Winters. They have impacted my life. It’s amazing what those little dust particles can spark.
I love you so very much!! Have an amazing week daddy!
Oh also Thank you so much for the little note on the hard drive it made me so happy. I was dancing around our apartment. Also those butterscotch creams are the greatest. Thank you for all that you do daddy. I love you!
P.S. While we were storying with Mama Thelma there was a smell of smokey fire. (This is a normal smell and infact I was breathing and thought “Oh this smells like Vanuatu. She kept saying “Sorry me just bin litem fire. Hem i no gud nao ia!” I laughed. The smell is linked to my precious vanuatu and didn’t seem strange at all. Funny huh? I love you so very much!
Have a wonderful week! Stay busy and eat a slice of pizza with real cheese for me. Love you!
