Halo from my beautiful island of Efate! (January 27, 2019)

Halo dear famle blong mi we mi luvem tumas!! Oh how much I adore you. I am so grateful for you. Thank you for all of your prayers and love. You give me so much strength and courage. Thank you for blessing my life by just being you. I love you! Mama: It sounds so cold!! I’ll keep the sunshine. You are welcome to come join me and the lizards and the cockroaches… (did you know cockroaches can fly? I didn’t. Until one decided to attack my pillow.) I will pray you get to feel the sunshine from here. We got a chance to talk to Papa Pierre about coming back to church. He got his feelings hurt very deeply about fifteen years ago. Please help pray that he will have a forgiving heart and that he will be able to see the importance of getting married. We have been storying with mama Finneth. She loves to learn about the gospel and to read about the Buk Blong Momon. We are going to walk with her to church. Her family (like most of the families in Vanuatu.) grind and sell Kava to make a living. (Kava is a root drink mixed with Alcohol). She works so hard for her family. Please keep her in her prayers that the spirit will testify to her the truthfulness of the gospel. Many of the people we have been storying with like to story one time.We just contacted a new family yesterday and one

Halo from my beautiful island of Efate! (January 20, 2019)

Halo beautiful famle blong mi we mi luvem tumas!! I hope you have had a wonderful week. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I am so grateful for you. This week has been a wonderful week. I am so grateful for the chance I have to come to know the souls in Etas. They bless my life emmensely. There is one abu we met this week who we learned to givhan she walks the thirty minutes through the bush to go help another abu who can’t get up because of a severe accident she had when she was younger. This abu washes all her clothes, cleans her house, and helps her do all the things that she is unable to do by herself. This abu is a great example to me of someone with Christlike love. I am so grateful for her efforts. We helped her a little this week. I am so grateful for the good people in the world. Daddy: Goooooooooood Mooooooooooooorning sunshine!!! Time is our friend. I love you so much! Thank you for listening to the album! I’m so proud of that. There is so much love in that album. I’ll try and check the lunar eclipse! Thank you so much for sending your notes on the blessing. I love the definition of adversity. That is something that has most certainly manifested itself on my mission. I’m grateful for the experiences and the opportunities to learn. I love you so very much! Thank you

Halo from my little island of Efate (January 6, 2019)

Happy 2019!! Halo dear famle blong mi we mi luvem tumas! I hope you have had an incredible week. The sun is shining and it is hot. We got a little bit of rain this week so it was beautiful. (as always) from the letter to President… This week has been quite exciting. There has been much change that has happened since last week. I am in a new area with a new companion. The spirit reminds me that change is a good thing. It will take a little bit of time. I am so grateful for the time I got to work in Ohlen and be surrounded by beautiful souls. The members in the ward in Etas welcomed me with so much love. There have already been tender mercies. One is one of the people we met at a baptism last year, her name is Merrium, lives in our area. I met her once and never thought we would meet again but I learned that she lives in the bounderies of our area! It was a little moment that I am so grateful for. She is a member but her and her man are not married yet. We will help them to the best that we can. I can see so many opportunities to help the people in Etas. I’m so grateful for Sista Otukolo. She is a blessing to my life. She misses her last companion. I am so grateful for the things I have learned from her
